Atika completed a course of treatment: she gained strength and learned to get out of her wheelchair.

Atika has cerebral palsy. 6 years ago, she could already walk with a walker, with Krabik canes and with support by the hands. But in 2021, the girl was diagnosed with fibrous dysplasia on the tibia – a disease in which normal bone tissue turns into abnormal fibrous and very fragile. Over the course of three years, Atika underwent three surgeries, now plates and grafts are in place at the site of the damage. And the child has to learn to walk again. While the treatment lasted, Atika read a lot of books – she is very fond of reading. In them, the main characters always overcome all troubles, so she believes that she will still get out of a wheelchair. And she tries very hard to do rehabilitation courses – only they are now her salvation: the muscles of the legs need to be taught to work again. She already happily tells that she has started to feel the feet and can already move them again - it inspires her. But it is difficult for a family with three children to continue Atika's treatment.
