Dasha A. from the "Volzhsky orphanage" takes tutoring lessons in Russian language and mathematics. Dasha is a very diligent student—she enjoys attending her lessons and loves sharing her school achievements with her tutors. “It’s important for us not only to find the right approach to the student but also to build an individual learning plan based on her abilities,” says her English tutor, Oksana Igorevna. Thanks to these lessons, Dasha has not only improved her academic level but also gained confidence—she now answers at the blackboard without hesitation, completes tests and assignments with ease, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. Dasha also completed a diagnostic entry test with her tutors, which helped identify the topics she found most difficult or had forgotten. “Doing the entry test helps assess how well the material from the previous school year was retained, which topics need to be reviewed, and what to focus on when building the learning plan for the quarter,” explains her math tutor, Tatyana Vladimirovna. The "Our Children" foundation helps kids like Dasha close gaps in their studies and prepare for exams by paying for tutoring. This gives children not only knowledge, but also faith in their own strengths, and therefore a chance for a successful future. The lessons paid for by the foundation are often the only opportunity for our wards to improve their knowledge, enter colleges and universities, and become successful adults.
