Alisa underwent genetic testing and has already received the results. The genetic testing did not confirm a hereditary nature to Alisa's long QT interval. The condition is likely acquired (trauma, complications after illness). The prognosis for lifelong treatment was not met. Alisa has been recommended to see a cardiologist every three months and undergo Holter monitoring. A treatment protocol will be determined based on the monitoring results. A Holter ECG is necessary, as a standard ECG is not always informative when symptoms are intermittent.

Alice has fainting spells and feels unwell – she needs an examination to prescribe the right treatment

Alisa is a kind, sensitive and understanding girl, and also very creative. She is now 14 years old. A year earlier, Alisa faced serious health problems.

At school, during physical education, she began to complain of feeling unwell: she did not jump, did not run, did not complete the task - her strength seemed to be leaving her. There were also moments when she simply slid down the wall, almost losing consciousness. Soft stabbing pains appeared in the heart area during exertion and deep inhalation, episodes of loss of consciousness, without convulsions. Before fainting, darkening before the eyes, and after fainting - severe weakness. After an ECG, Alisa was sent for cardiac monitoring, and then to an appointment with a cardiologist and geneticist. There was a diagnosis: "elongated QT phenomenon, vegetative dysfunction of the sinus node in the structure of vegetative dystonia of the vagotonic type, minor anomalies in the development of the heart."

In order to prescribe and administer the correct treatment, it is necessary to conduct a genetic analysis according to the panel "Hereditary heart diseases".
