An occupational therapist conducted training for staff at an adult disability home

In the spring, the foundation "He needs you" traveled with a medical team to a psycho-neurological boarding school in the Kaliningrad region. About 70 people live in it permanently. There are also those who cannot do without the help of the staff of the institution – bedridden patients or young adults in wheelchairs. The foundation's doctors examined the students and gave their recommendations, and conducted initial staff training in caring for people with disabilities. The institution's management became interested in the training, as ergotherapy not only teaches proper care for people with limited mobility, but also helps caregivers avoid overexertion, as they often need to lift and move heavy adults. The foundation was approached to provide in-depth training for staff on proper handling, feeding, and positioning.
