The goal of the AYALA Charitable Foundation is to reduce infant and child mortality in Kazakhstan.
For this purpose, the foundation helps to install modern equipment in children's intensive care units to save children's lives.
Newborn infants with critically low birth weight are under special care of AYALA. To save their lives, health and intelligence, the foundation has been implementing the "Breathe Life" project since 2007.
In 14 years, it has covered 36 cities and towns and 67 medical institutions. Every year the project saves thousands of children and helps hundreds of Kazakhstani neonatologists to improve their qualifications.
COLLECTION ON SYRINGE PUMPS
The Scientific Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology in Almaty has delivered 4,075 babies in 2020 to mothers from all over the country with high-risk groups: those with diabetes, oncology, heart pathologies and other diseases.
Prematurity is the leading cause of death among newborns. But the doctors of the intensive care department of this center nurse premature infants weighing 500 grams and more.
In order for the child to survive, it is extremely important to administer the necessary medications in a timely manner and in the right dosages. Syringe pumps allow very small doses of medication to be administered accurately to the patient over a long period of time. Compared to the manual way of administering medications, the dispenser can administer very small doses of substances that would be impossible to do by hand.
Over the past 11 years, the resuscitation equipment at the Scientific Center has not been updated, and many of the machines are out of service at the end of their useful life.
Therefore, the AYALA Foundation started a collection for the purchase of three syringe pumps for this center.
