Children with this syndrome speak very little or do not speak at all, have problems with muscle tone and, accordingly, lag behind in development. Sofia was examined in Moscow at the N.P. Bochkov Medical and Genetic Research Center. The diagnosis was confirmed.
Sonya's parents worked hard with her, so at the age of one and a half years she was able to walk on her own. But weak muscle tone still remains. Sonya is now 9 years old, and as she grows, she has started having problems with her hip joints. Today, the girl has subluxations of the hip joints on both sides, scoliosis, and adducted feet.
