In the photo is one of our wards - Iraida Demyanovna. Her childhood fell on the war years. Her father went to the front and reached Berlin, and his three children at that time ended up in an orphanage. After the war, Iraida finished evening school, studied to be a nurse, and later - a parasitologist. The woman devoted 40 years to work in the railway hospital at the sanitary and epidemiological station. For her conscientious work, she was repeatedly awarded with honorary certificates.
Currently, the woman lives alone. She has no close relatives, and her pension is insufficient to support herself. Her health has deteriorated, but her eyes remain bright and her mind clear. She is a witness to an entire era, a person of remarkable resilience and depth of character.
We are raising funds to purchase food products for making hot meals for Iraida Demyanovna and other lonely elderly people.
