Our fund has been systematically helping pensioners in need for almost 7 years. One of our beneficiaries is Vladimir Fedorovich, who was born in 1934. He has dedicated his entire life to his homeland, work, and poetry. At the age of ten, he witnessed the Victory Day.
"I saw adults hugging and shouting 'Hurray!'. I didn't fully understand what was happening, but I felt that something good had occurred. It was a difficult time, but people remained optimistic and went to work," he shares.
After the war, Vladimir participated in the reconstruction of the destroyed Novorossiysk. Then he served in the Navy, was a signalman. And once, while rescuing children from a flooded kindergarten during a flood, he wrote his first poem. Since then, poetry for children has become his life's work.
Today, Vladimir Fedorovich lives alone, writes new poems, and at the age of 91, he uses a computer and prints collections, which he once sent to needy children in schools using money saved from buying groceries.
For him and dozens of other lonely pensioners, food is not just a meal. It is a reminder that they are not forgotten. We are currently raising funds to purchase food for hot meals for Vladimir Fedorovich and other lonely pensioners who do not have enough money to live on.
