Emir is 7 years old. After 2 years, the boy experienced a developmental regression: he lost his speech, eye contact, and stopped responding to his name. Specialists diagnosed him with delayed psycho-speech development with autistic features and sensorimotor alalia.
As part of this rehabilitation course, Emir attended sessions with ABA therapy specialists, sensory integration therapists, and a speech therapist-defectologist. The boy also underwent a course of bioacoustic brain correction. The combination of sessions and hardware procedures helped the child achieve success and acquire new skills!
Emir learned to distinguish body parts; now he can point to his ears, eyes, nose, shoulders, stomach, head, and hair! He also studied new instructions with objects, for example, 'knock with the hammer,' 'wipe your hands,' and 'drink from the cup.' The child also acquired new stimuli; by the end of the course, Emir could name more than 50 stimuli in response to the question 'what is this?'
During the sessions, active work was done on developing Emir's gross and fine motor skills. The boy performed exercises such as lacing, modeling with clay, removing and reattaching clothespins, and assembling Lego. Emir also became more socially active, learning to play paired and board games. He especially enjoyed playing 'lotto!'
