Amelia was born full-term, at 40 weeks, with an Apgar score of 7-8. At first, everything was fine – she developed as expected, made eye contact, understood, and responded to her name. But after a year, changes began: Amelia spun around, didn't respond to being spoken to, lined up her toys, didn't interact with other children, and had no speech or understanding. At age 3, she was diagnosed with delayed psychoverbal development and ADHD with behavioral disturbance.
A long process began: ABA therapy, sensory integration, neurogymnastics, speech therapy, physical therapy, biochemical analysis, and medication support. Gradually, results appeared – her speech improved, her understanding increased, and her behavior improved.
Amelia is now 9 years old and attends a regular school. School is difficult, and teachers constantly complain about her behavior. The girl is restless, has difficulty concentrating, and when rejected or criticized, she becomes hysterical, which she cannot cope with on her own. She requires regular rehabilitation to consolidate her progress and continue to develop.
