Maxim has completed the necessary genetic testing!

Maxim is 4 years old, a smiling and affectionate child. He never leaves his mother's side, loves to kick a ball around, and watches cartoons. In April 2025, his mother noticed that her son's gait had become unsteady, he was having difficulty sitting, and his eye movements were erratic. At his local hospital, an MRI was performed and a diagnosis of a sacrococcygeal tumor was made. Maxim and his mother were referred for treatment to the oncology department of the Pirogov Russian Children's Clinical Hospital, where a biopsy was performed. Histology revealed a malignant process, and doctors performed a coccyx resection. To determine further treatment, Maxim now needs genetic testing. This will help better understand the nature of the disease and determine whether continued treatment is necessary or whether surgery is sufficient.
