Yasin underwent heart surgery!

Yasina was born just recently. She's so tiny, weighing just over two and a half kilograms, and was immediately taken to the intensive care unit. The baby has a severe heart defect—a common arterial trunk and a hole in the septum between the ventricles. Her heart doesn't differentiate blood into "clean" and "impure," making it difficult for her to breathe and gain strength. Yasina is being monitored around the clock by doctors. She's being fed through feeding tubes, given medications, and her every breath is monitored. But these are temporary measures. Surgery is needed to get her heart working properly.
