You gave Azalina freedom of movement

Nine-year-old Azalina loves cartoons, draws, and sculpts with play dough. In September, she entered second grade and is studying remotely. She was born with ischemic central nervous system damage and hydrocephalic syndrome. After birth, she was admitted to the neonatal pathology unit, where she spent almost a month. Azalina's development was delayed: she learned to crawl at 11 months and began walking at almost two years old. Massages and physical therapy were ineffective, and over time, she began developing deformities in her lower limbs. In 2020, Azalina underwent leg surgery; the improvements were minor, but after a while, everything seemed to return to normal. At the recommendation of geneticists, Azalina was tested for SMA, which was confirmed twice. Today, Azalina cannot stand for long periods of time; she has difficulty walking even with support; she only gets around outside in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, Azalina's current stroller no longer fits: she's growing, and due to limited mobility, she's gaining weight. Sitting in her current stroller is uncomfortable and painful. "We're currently limiting our walks because not only is a regular stroller the wrong size, but it's also very heavy and difficult to maneuver. We live in a village, and it's impossible to maneuver on uneven roads," her mother says. The family can't afford the stroller they need.
