Muhammadali was born in April with a congenital heart defect. After being discharged from the maternity hospital he constantly cried and had difficulty breathing. Three weeks later, the chest around heart enlarged, and his arms and legs turned blue. He was urgently taken to the hospital by ambulance and immediately underwent surgery. Muhammadali spent two weeks in intensive care and faced a long and difficult recovery. Gradually, his condition improved, the blue skin tone disappeared. Now Muhammadali is at home and cries rarely. He enjoys watching the trees move in the wind, responds to toys, and recognizes his mother’s voice. The illness has not gone away yet. During his latest ultrasound examination, doctors confirmed that a second surgery is required — his heart will not be able to cope without it. Muhammadali does not have Russian citizenship, therefore his treatment is not covered and must be paid for fully. His parents cannot afford the cost. His mother devotes all her time and attention to child, while his father works at a factory as structures assembler. All the money goes toward supporting the family and covering Muhammadali’s treatment expenses. Friends of the family and charitable donors have already helped raise part of the funds.
