Mukhammadbek turned 10 this summer, the prime of his childhood. He enjoys going to school, hanging out with friends in the yard, and playing soccer. But now all of this is being hampered by a serious illness – a brain tumor.
At the beginning of the summer, Muhammadbek accidentally injured his head while playing, after which he began experiencing severe pain and weakness. At the hospital, doctors immediately diagnosed a brain tumor. Doctors in Tashkent recommended traveling to Russia to the Burdenko Institute of Cancer Research for surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful, and Muhammadbek has improved significantly. However, after the surgery, he needs to continue treatment – a combination of radiation and chemotherapy – to prevent further progression of the disease.
Mukhammadbek is one of the youngest children in a large family; his mother works as a housekeeper, and his father is a car mechanic. An ordinary family can't afford to pay for their son's treatment, especially since he's a foreigner, and Muhammadbek's treatment is expensive and requires a fee.
