Khamza is 6 years old. After his first year, the boy experienced a developmental regression: he stopped making eye contact, responding to his name, and interacting with those around him. His parents consulted a neurologist, and the boy was diagnosed with delayed psycho-speech development, general speech underdevelopment of level 1, and autism spectrum disorder.
After completing an intensive course of daily sessions, Khamza acquired new skills and became calmer, more patient, and more self-controlled. The number of instances of undesirable behavior decreased, and both specialists and Khamza's mother note that he has become much better at understanding spoken language and instructions!
Khamza continued to develop skills in sorting by categories and matching cards. A new stage of the alternative communication system using special PECs cards was also introduced to the child. Now it is much easier for the boy to communicate his needs and desires to those around him.
Thanks to sensory integration sessions and adaptive physical education, Khamza learned to maintain his balance for longer periods, perform new physical exercises, complete obstacle courses, and even follow several instructions at once!
