Nina Ivanovna has been seriously ill since birth—doctors diagnosed her with cerebral palsy. She spent her entire life in a wheelchair, but her family, friends, and positive attitude were always by her side. She never gave up: in 2000, she got married and even found work, taking orders over the phone for a window company. Despite her circumstances, her life was filled with meaning and connections.
But the years have taken a lot from her: her job was gone, her health deteriorated, and most recently, in January, the last person close to her—her beloved husband—passed away. Now she is completely alone and bedridden.
Our foundation delivers meals to her and provides medical, sanitary, and household assistance.
Being confined to bed means her clothes are constantly getting dirty, and to maintain proper hygiene, our caregivers need to be able to wash Nina Ivanovna's clothes. The old washing machine is broken, so our aides are forced to wash clothes by hand, which makes their already difficult job much more difficult.
We're raising funds to give Nina Ivanovna a new washing machine. This isn't just a piece of equipment; it's an opportunity for the aides to dedicate more time and care to Nina Ivanovna herself.
Let's help this grandmother get a washing machine!
