Timofey is 10 years old and has cerebral palsy. He regularly attends rehabilitation courses at the Rodnik Center in Saint Petersburg. His program includes Bobath therapy, physical therapy, myofascial release, sessions with a neuropsychologist and speech therapist, as well as taping.
Thanks to his regular rehabilitation at Rodnik, Timofey has shown steady progress: his muscles have strengthened, spasticity in his left limbs has decreased, his balance and posture have improved, and he has gained better support on his left foot. The mobility of his left hand, articulation, and chewing skills have also improved.
In September 2023, an important event took place — Timofey started school. He is a curious and diligent boy who is already learning to read, write, and count. Despite his busy school schedule, Timofey continues to work on his physical and creative development: he takes part in general physical training, attends a creative workshop, and practices hippotherapy as part of the “Riding Toward the Dream” project. Under his art teacher’s guidance, Timofey even won the Grand Prix at the Firebird contest with his drawing “Penguins on the Ice.”
Regular rehabilitation is essential for Timofey to strengthen his muscles, improve coordination, and develop motor skills.
Let’s help Timofey continue his treatment and take another step toward his dream — to stand and walk on his own!
