It so happens that Nastya is the eldest child in the house. Although she's only 12 years old, she has the responsibility of an adult. Her grandmother, Galina Vasilyevna, took Nastya under her wing when she was less than a year old. Now 72, she lives alone with Nastya and has a very close relationship. Grandmother and granddaughter love each other, but Galina Vasilyevna's health is seriously failing her. Complex diagnoses and dementia lead to forgetfulness and difficulties in everyday life. Nastya has to oversee many aspects of their family's lives.
The foundation's social worker accompanies Galina Vasilyevna and Nastya, helping them develop an individualized plan to overcome their difficult situation.
This fundraising will allow us to pay for a month's work for a social worker, who simultaneously supports 12 families in crisis. Thanks in large part to the social worker's work, the children in these families are able to live at home with their families, rather than in an orphanage.
