Abdullah will soon turn 4 years old. When the boy turned 2 years old, his parents noticed alarming changes: the boy became capricious, stopped responding to his name and showing interest in the world around him. Specialists made diagnoses: delay in psychoreferential development and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Abdullah is reluctant to make contact and does not seek communication. He plays at home only with his brother and prefers solitary activities. The boy likes puzzles, car games, and catch-up, but the rapid change of scenery and noise make him uncomfortable. He speaks some words, repeats them, knows letters and numbers, and also knows how to show body parts, animals, and toys. However, the lack of spoken language and short-term eye contact create additional obstacles to its development. In order for Abdullah to learn to understand spoken language better and to be able to communicate with others, he needs the help of a behavioral analyst, a speech therapist, and specialists in adaptive physical education and sensory integration.
