Amina is a 7—year-old girl who was born by emergency caesarean section at the 28th week of pregnancy with a weight of only 900 grams. She spent the first weeks of her life in the neonatal intensive care unit, and then was transferred to a multidisciplinary hospital in the Department of neonatal pathology. In this department, Amina suffered from apnea (respiratory arrest and oxygen starvation) twice, which was the beginning of her serious health problems and struggle for life.
At one year old, Amina was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, then she was diagnosed with OCD (delayed speech development) and epileptic activity. At the moment, despite all the difficulties, Amina is able to turn over in both directions, holds her head and crawls like a plast. Specialists are working to ensure that she learns to crawl on all fours and sit.
Unfortunately, Amina lags far behind in her psychological and speech development, but there is progress from each lesson. It is important to continue studying in order to avoid kickbacks, which can negatively affect her condition. During these 7 years, Amina has come a long and difficult way, and she still has many challenges ahead of her. However, the classes she needs for rehabilitation are very expensive, and it is difficult for her parents to pay for them all the time. Therefore, they turn to caring people for help.
