Panya the cat, along with her pride mates, was born and lived in the basement of a Moscow university, but management decided to clear the area, and the cats began to be captured.
After being spayed, Panya was placed with an elderly family. Panya lived there for three years and even became a heroine of our shelter. When one of the kittens fell ill and needed a blood transfusion, Panya became the donor, as she was the only one with the very rare blood type B.
Time passed, and the family member died, and the heirs didn't want the cat. So she returned to the shelter.
But the cat first lost her appetite, and then her condition rapidly worsened, and her guardians couldn't figure out the cause. A visit to the doctor and emergency hospitalization revealed a diagnosis: high creatinine levels, a low temperature, and extreme dehydration, which led to the final diagnosis: kidney damage and chronic kidney disease.
To stabilize the cat's condition, she needs to undergo a five-day course of treatment at a veterinary clinic.
