Anya is a nine-year-old, cheerful, kind, and very sociable girl who loves holidays, walks, and enthusiastically blows out the candles at her birthday party. Anya was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in the first few months after birth. The diagnosis limited her physical abilities, but Anya is developing intellectually and emotionally at her age. She strives to be active: learning to ride in her wheelchair, doing physical therapy, playing with her brother, and trying to do everything she can on her own.
But Anya is growing, and now sitting in the wheelchair is becoming increasingly difficult: her body tires, her back slumps, her pelvis shifts, and her mother is forced to literally maintain her position every day, lifting her, and adjusting her to avoid pain and injury. This incorrect sitting position not only interferes with learning and concentration but is also dangerous for the child's spine and overall health.
A special seat belt is the foundation of safety and proper posture; it maintains the child's position, preventing slipping, twisting, and dangerous leaning. With it, a child maintains strength longer and can better participate in activities, play, and learn. And for parents, it reduces physical strain and lowers the risk of injury. We're raising funds for these belts for Anya and 25 other children. Each of them will be able to sit correctly and safely, experience less fatigue, and feel supported.
Join the fundraiser and together we'll help children live more comfortably and safely every day.
