Osiya is just beginning to learn to sit, attempt crawling, and reach for toys. However, even simple movements require significantly more effort compared to other children. She has a severe congenital heart defect — a ventricular septal defect accompanied by abnormalities in the structure of the heart valves.
Due to her condition, Osiya becomes fatigued very quickly, experiences difficulty breathing, and struggles to gain weight. Her skin is markedly pale, and her lips have a cyanotic tint. For a child with a congenital heart defect, even feeding becomes a strenuous task.
The first symptoms appeared within the first months of life. Her parents sought medical care immediately, and she underwent diagnostic examinations. Surgical intervention is currently the only treatment option that can save her life. Without surgery, the disease will continue to progress and lead to worsening cardiac insufficiency with potentially irreversible consequences.
Osiya’s parents brought her from Tajikistan to Moscow, as no suitable treatment options were available in their home country. Medical care for foreign citizens is provided on a paid basis, and the family does not have the financial means to cover the cost. Her father works as a hotel maintenance assistant, and her mother stays at home caring for two young children. Their income is only enough to cover basic living expenses.
Despite her condition, Osiya responds well to music, smiles when she hears familiar voices, and holds tightly to her plush toy cat when falling asleep. Her favorite song is "Blue Tractor." When she hears it, her eyes brighten, she moves her arms, and it seems as if she wants to dance — even though she lacks the strength.
We kindly ask for support. Every contribution brings Osiya closer to the day she can breathe freely and live like any healthy child.
