Semyon has congenital hydrocephalus. He is now 9 years old and spends almost all his time in a wheelchair. Semyon doesn't speak, but remains a surprisingly cheerful boy: he loves being played with, smiles when listening to the phone on speakerphone, and delights in the sound of familiar voices.
Semyon is growing and becoming heavier, and routine care is becoming increasingly demanding. There is no bathtub in the house, only a sauna, meaning every bathing session becomes a complex and dangerous procedure. Holding a large child in water poses a significant risk for both the child and the parents.
A specialized bathing bouncer allows for safe bathing, full body support, and care without fear or pain. It secures the child in the correct position, prevents slipping, facilitates access for care, and makes bathing a calm and comfortable experience.
Currently, such a bouncer is needed for Semyon and another child. This simple device radically changes a family's quality of life: it provides safety, makes care easier, and allows a child to enjoy the water without risk. Join the fundraiser and give two children the opportunity to swim safely and comfortably.
