Thanks to your support, Abdurakhim underwent two stages of heart surgery!

A long-awaited baby named Abdurakhim was born to a young family with many children in Tajikistan this summer. At birth, the baby was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (CHD)—a ventricular septal defect. Doctors kept Abdurakhim under observation, but at five months of age, alarming symptoms appeared: shortness of breath while feeding, blue lips and nails, severe fatigue, and weakness.

Abdurakhim's condition is currently considered stable but serious due to heart failure and hypoxemia (insufficient oxygen in the blood). Urgent medical intervention is needed to prevent further deterioration and give the baby a chance at a full life. The cost of the surgery, which must be performed as soon as possible, is prohibitive for the family: the mother, a stay-at-home mom, is fully dedicated to caring for the children, and the father earns extra money selling fruits and vegetables and doing home improvement work.
