Muhammad is the youngest child in the family. He is 9 years old and has Down syndrome, psychological and speech development delays, and severe muscular hypotonia.
He requires regular rehabilitation to maintain his skills, strengthen his muscles, develop his speech, and understand the world around him.
Muhammad is currently undergoing a rehabilitation course in St. Petersburg. The program includes neurodiagnostics, neurocorrection, speech therapy and special education classes, transcranial magnetic stimulation, hyperbaric oxygenation, and other necessary procedures. The cost of rehabilitation is prohibitive for the family. His mother, Elmira, has been raising two children alone for five years.
