Suleiman is four years old. When the boy was two and a half years old, his parents noticed disturbing signs: the boy did not respond to his name and avoided eye contact. At first, there was an assumption that the reason lies in hearing problems, since the parents themselves are hard of hearing people. However, an examination by a sign language specialist showed that the child's hearing was normal.
The neurologist sent the family for an additional study — an electroencephalogram (EEG). Subsequently, a psychiatrist diagnosed him with delayed speech development. The parents immediately began intensive rehabilitation: for two years in a row, the child underwent AVA therapy five days a week, studied with a speech therapist, received speech therapy massage and participated in sensory neuropsychology classes. Treatment and therapy were never interrupted, because the positive dynamics were visible.
However, the situation is becoming more complicated now: the family no longer has enough resources to continue the course, as all the accumulated funds have already been spent on previous stages of therapy and rehabilitation.
