Abdurrahim is a long-awaited and beloved child. His mother's pregnancy proceeded without complications, but already in the first months of life, it became clear that something was wrong with the baby's heart.
When Abdurrahim was three months old, his parents noticed that he was barely gaining weight or height, constantly crying, and breathing heavily. After examinations, doctors diagnosed him with a serious congenital heart defect.
Doctors are insisting on urgent surgery to perform transposition of the great arteries. Abdurrahim's main heart vessels are positioned inverted. Oxygen-rich blood enters the heart, while oxygen-poor blood circulates throughout the body. All organs are severely deprived of oxygen.
Without surgery, this condition could lead to irreversible consequences.
