Thanks to you, tubers, the girl underwent surgery to implant a bioresorbable plate, which helped to expand the place of fusion of the bones of the skull and free up space for the brain. We made it in time, and now Arina is safe!

The operation lasted 5 hours, and Mom and dad were standing outside the operating room the whole time. When Arina was transferred from the intensive care unit to her mother's room, she began to recover very quickly, and a week later she and her mother were discharged home.

The pope notes that the shape of the head, which had previously been like a turret, has been corrected by "70 percent." Now there is a question of observing the development of the skull bones over the next 6 months and, if necessary, correcting the occipital part. "But the doctor and I really hope that nothing more will be needed," says Babken, the girl's father.

Since the operation, Arina has gained many new skills. For example, she went on her own. "My daughter is always in a good mood, she is joyful and playful." She loves to take apart cupboards, throw everything around – and then laugh in response to her mother's lamentations. "May God grant health to all those who helped," says Arina's dad. – You can't imagine how grateful I am to these people. And to God!"

Arina needs surgery on her skull

Flat nape, overhanging forehead, middle third of face as if pressed back, sunken bridge of nose. Arina was born with a diagnosis of brachycephaly. To save a 10-month-old girl from dangerous complications, surgery using a special plate is needed.

Due to premature fusion of the coronary suture of the skull, the baby's bones were deformed in the womb, so that the head stretched up. Because of this, her brain is experiencing a lack of space. Complications can occur at any time: vision problems, headache, epilepsy, and others.

So far, the girl is developing without deviations. She's active, just keep an eye on it: she likes to climb everywhere, pulls things off the shelves, plays hide-and-seek with her brother, and runs after him in a walker. But every day the threat of brain compression and disability of the child is getting closer. To prevent this from happening, an operation is needed, during which the bones of Arina's skull are pulled apart using a special plate, which, having served its time, will then gently dissolve – and a repeat operation will not be required. A medical device cannot be obtained under an MHI policy.
