Thanks to your support, Milana underwent hearing and speech rehabilitation. Intensive classes with a team of specialists helped the girl to master new speech skills.
By the age of two, Milana's parents found out that their daughter had hearing problems. After the examination, the child was prescribed a hearing aid in one ear. And later, a cochlear implant was installed on the other ear. The devices helped Milan hear the world of sounds. The girl began to understand the spoken speech, but spontaneous speech did not start in any way. Milana repeated the words after the others, but she could not form sentences on her own and did not initiate a conversation. Intensive rehabilitation was necessary to develop his speech skills.
"Two weeks of classes have yielded results: my daughter builds phrases by herself, the stiffness is gone. This is the breakthrough we've been waiting for from rehabilitation. Thank you so much to everyone, may the good come back to you a hundredfold," says Alsou, Milana's mother.
During the classes, the specialists taught Milana to answer questions in sentences, describe subjects, and at the same time build up her vocabulary. The child will continue to consolidate new skills in classes with a speech therapist and a sign language therapist in kindergarten. Thank you, friends, for Milan's support!

Milana hears, but does not speak: auditory-speech rehabilitation is required
Milana, 4, has a cochlear implant in her right ear and a hearing aid on her left. Both devices help you hear. But to start talking, we need the help of specialists.
Until the age of two, Milana's parents didn't even realize that their only daughter had hearing problems. She danced to loud music and babbled a lot. They waited for her to say the first words, but Milana remained silent. When they took him to a speech therapist, it turned out that the child had hearing problems.
Milana immediately had a hearing aid installed, and a cochlear implant was recently connected. Active development has begun in the devices. Now she understands the speech addressed to her well, repeats individual words after her mother. But I can't launch independent speech in any way.
"When my daughter starts talking, even I can hardly understand her," Alsou says. – It's easier for her to explain something to me with gestures than with words. She doesn't communicate much with her peers, she always plays alone.
In classes with a speech therapist, Milana diligently learns new words - "mom", "give", "open". Recently I started saying "well done". Now it is important for her to improve her pronunciation and build up her vocabulary, and for this she needs classes with specialists who work with children after cochlear implantation. Let's support Milan and give her the opportunity to speak in a clear language!
