Denis is 10 years old. His life began with severe trials: the boy lost his mother in early childhood, and later—his twin brother. Denis has complex orthopedic and mental conditions, but despite this, he is a very cheerful, kind, and strong little boy.

The foundation's doctors saw Denis during a trip to Novosibirsk, and then the foundation brought him to Moskva and organized orthopedic treatment for him.

"When I first saw Denis, he was very thin and hardly made contact," says the nanny provided to the boy by the foundation during his treatment. "But gradually he 'thawed out,' really loved sitting next to me, hugging and resting his head on my shoulder."

The nanny quickly found common ground with Denis and soon became the most important and beloved person for him. Denis loves being praised, and also enjoys musical toys and a magnetic construction set, carefully sorting the pieces by color. The nanny's support helped him believe in himself, become much more open, and learn to trust the world. Now he has returned to the orphanage, but the warmth and love the nanny gave him will stay with him forever.
