Islam Vagabatov is seven years old. The boy was born prematurely, and at the age of one, doctors diagnosed cerebral palsy. Islam is constantly engaged in rehabilitation, and each course brings positive changes. His speech is well developed, he sits confidently by himself, crawls and walks with the support of special devices ("crabs"). Now the child regularly undergoes intensive recovery programs at the Champions Center in Chelyabinsk.
In the spring of this year, Islam successfully underwent an important spinal cord surgery performed by renowned Professor Zinchenko. Thanks to the intervention, muscle tone decreased significantly, opening up new opportunities for further success. Now the most important thing is to continue the systematic recovery, which will allow the boy to take the long—awaited first independent steps.
However, regular therapy requires significant financial investments, which Islam's family cannot handle on its own.
