Yaroslav is 12 years old and has Cerebral Palsy. He was born at 26 weeks, which led to a brain hemorrhage and the placement of a shunt. Thanks to regular rehabilitation (Bobath therapy, massage, and sessions with speech therapists), he has already achieved a great deal: he can crawl, sit without support, and stand at a bar.
Despite his complex diagnosis, Yaroslav is a very positive and open child. He leads an active lifestyle: he enjoys downhill skiing, swims in the pool, and loves to travel. Currently, he is in the fourth grade and his favorite subject is music.
Yaroslav's main goal now is to learn how to walk using a walker. This would give him freedom of movement and the chance to interact with his peers on an equal footing. However, such a breakthrough is only possible with continuous and intensive training. His family can no longer afford to pay for these courses on their own.
