Misha was born a healthy baby, but at two months old, his condition took a sudden turn: he could no longer hold his head up or react to his surroundings. Doctors eventually diagnosed him with a rare genetic condition — Joubert syndrome. This caused Cerebral Palsy and impaired coordination due to an underdeveloped cerebellum. The list of challenges grew to include speech and developmental delays.
Despite the difficult outlook, years of continuous therapy have yielded incredible results. Now 7 years old, Misha can walk independently over short distances. He is a cheerful and social boy who attends kindergarten, knows his numbers, and loves to dance and draw. Doctors are optimistic: Misha has every chance to attend a mainstream school.
There is still a lot of work to do before school. He needs to strengthen his core muscles, improve his gait, and refine his speech. Stopping now could mean losing the hard-won progress he has made.
Misha is part of a large family, and his parents' financial resources are completely exhausted. Let’s come together to help this determined boy complete a vital rehabilitation course and start his school life on equal footing with his peers!
