Anya was born with Spina Bifida; her parents only learned about the diagnosis just before she was born. By the age of 4 months, little Anya has already undergone three complex surgeries: on her spine and to install a shunt in her head due to hydrocephalus. Another surgical procedure to remove a cyst awaits the girl in the near future.
Despite the trials she has faced, Anya is a very diligent and cheerful girl. She loves musical toys, is learning to swim in the pool, and is already trying to roll over on her own. The first year of life with such a diagnosis is the most critical for future development, and Anya cannot afford to lose a single day.
As part of her comprehensive treatment, doctors have prescribed regular courses of physical therapy (PT) and therapeutic massage. This therapy is vital: it helps reduce muscle tone, improve motor functions, and develop mobility. Anya’s family is asking for help to pay for her rehabilitation course. Let’s come together to help this tiny, strong girl grow stronger and make her first successes possible!
