Rustam is a very active and cheerful little boy—he loves it when things are loud and bright. He likes to touch and feel everything, reaches out for new knowledge and people—he is interested in everything.
Five years ago, he was born severely premature, and even then doctors diagnosed him with developmental disorders. His parents did not decide to take him home, and the boy ended up in an orphanage. Last year, specialists from the foundation organized treatment for him in Moscow. Significant progress is already visible: Rustam now walks confidently with crutches and has learned to speak better.
"Rustam is an incredibly affectionate child," his nanny says. "He loves to hug and can get a bit mischievous if I talk or play with any of the other children."
Rustam is now at an age when it is very important to have a caring, reliable, and most importantly, a 'special' adult nearby. For him, that person has become his nanny. She doesn't just look after Rustam—she sings lullabies and tells him fairy tales, soothes and supports him. This is not just care—it's psychological support, without which successful treatment would be impossible.
