Miroslava completed a comprehensive rehabilitation course at the Healthy Childhood Medical Center (Yekaterinburg) from April 27 to May 8. The program included sessions with a speech therapist, sensory integration, hydrotherapy, massage, kinesiotherapy, and consultations with an osteopath and orthopedist.

Positive changes were noted: her speech became clearer, her hand-eye coordination and gait improved, and she fell less frequently. Her psycho-emotional state stabilized—Mira behaves more calmly in a group setting, learned to negotiate, ask, and respond to cues. She also developed boundary-setting skills (for example, knocking on the door and waiting for a response).

About the campaign

After difficult treatment for cancer, Miroslava needs a course of rehabilitation!

Until the age of two, Miroslava was a healthy child—developing normally and even starting to speak before her peers. But at three, her family's life was turned upside down: she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In one year, she underwent five emergency surgeries in the neurosurgery department of the Perm Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. The tumor removal was followed by a difficult recovery period and a relapse. Today, Miroslava is disabled. She must relearn how to walk confidently and restore her musculoskeletal skills. She also exhibits emotional, volitional, and behavioral issues, all of which require extensive rehabilitation. This year, she will begin a new stage of her recovery—medical rehabilitation at the Healthy Childhood Medical Center (Yekaterinburg) under a special "Mini 13" package for neuro-oncology patients. We believe that experienced doctors will help Miroslava regain her lost skills and take another step toward a full life! And caring people will help raise funds for her rehabilitation!
