The Devoted Heart shelter is home to over 500 cats. Almost every one of them came to us from the streets, many with parasites. Parasites aren't just a nuisance. They can lead to anemia, exhaustion, weakened immune systems, and illness.
Previously, we treated each animal with two different medications: one for fleas and one for worms. This was double the stress for the cats and double the workload for our veterinarians. It was also more expensive and took longer. Now we have Sclafort, a modern product that protects cats from both internal and external parasites in a single treatment. One drop under the scruff of the neck, and the animal is reliably protected for a whole month. It's safe, effective, and much faster. This is especially important for kittens, weakened animals, and those who have just arrived at the shelter and need urgent help.
We are now collecting 95 doses of Sclafort. This provides protection for 95 cats: processing new arrivals, monthly preventative care for regular residents, and peace of mind for the health of every cat in the shelter.
