Thanks to you psychologists-mentors met children from orphanages

Thanks to your support, children from remote orphanages in the Astrakhan, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov regions were able to meet with their psychologists, discuss important problems, participate in trainings and pass tests. The main work is done online, but it is possible only thanks to the warm personal contact that appears during such meetings, when you can hug, take a walk, cook something together, just laugh and joke. Such meetings incredibly charge both children and psychologists, give strength and direction for further work. Due to the situation with the pandemic and the political situation, the leadership of orphanages could not get permission for the children to leave for Moscow for a long vacation, but children from Nizhny Novgorod came to us for several days. And psychologist Anna, who oversees orphanages in the Nizhny Novgorod region, was able to visit them 4 times during the school year and conduct trainings with them, as well as try new methods of involving children in the program, heard and wrote down their opinion about life in the orphanage. Psychologists were also able to visit their wards in other orphanages. In the Astrakhan region, our specialist Dasha helped the children to establish ties with their loved ones, find relatives, the psychologist Natalya talked with her graduates, supported them in their already independent life. The guys from the orphanage in the Saratov region warmly communicated with their psychologist Leah, cooked pies together and told her about their achievements and plans. It is very important for the guys to get the approval of significant people, who are few in their lives. TOOBA's support allowed us to continue the work of the foundation in the difficult conditions of recent months and not stop our projects to work with children in orphanages and train and support their teachers and educators. And this means that, despite the changing conditions, the children from orphanages, with whom our foundation works, continued to receive qualified and stable assistance, support in a difficult period.
