The upbringing of the three grandchildren is entirely the responsibility of their grandmother, Vera Sergeevna, who also buys everything needed for school and kindergarten. She works as a dishwasher at a rehabilitation center. Our foundation began working with the family in September 2025. The main concern of the family, as well as the guardianship authorities, is the poor condition of the apartment where the family lives: the wallpaper is torn, in some places there is no stretch ceiling, and the flooring has swollen due to flooding. The family also needed a psychologist for the grandmother and the middle granddaughter.

Psychological support provided by the foundation's psychologist had a noticeable effect: Vera Sergeevna began to cope with stress better and feel more confident, which has had a positive impact on the family atmosphere. The social curator helped organize a fundraising campaign for repairs through the charity foundation 'Dari edu.' At the same time, the family received humanitarian aid—they were given children's clothing and educational toys.

Currently, work with the family is ongoing.

Grandma won't give her grandchildren to an orphanage - a fee to pay for a social supervisor who will help keep children in the family

Vera Sergeevna is the grandmother of three grandchildren aged 8,7,2 years. Her own mother refused the children, rare visits and a small allowance - instead of love and care. The father disappeared from the children's lives as soon as the first difficulties appeared. Grandma understood that the children would end up in an orphanage and repeat their parents' dysfunctional scenarios in the future. "I wasn't thinking, I was saving them. There was no time to think, otherwise it was an orphanage." - says Vera Sergeevna. Grandma's hard work, school, kindergarten, lack of money and strength - everything has piled up, but the family is trying to cope. The family is registered with the guardianship authorities, any mistake is a threat of seizure. Vera Sergeevna and the children are accompanied by the foundation's curator. Work with the family has started recently: repairs will begin soon, things and products for children are being purchased, and a psychologist is consulting with the grandmother. This fee will allow us to pay for a month of work as a social supervisor who simultaneously accompanies 12 families in crisis. Thanks to the work of a social supervisor, children in these families can live at home with their relatives, rather than in an orphanage.
