Orphaned children undergoing treatment need to work with a speech therapist!

Anna, a two-year-old girl from a children's home in the Sverdlovsk region, was unable to pronounce sounds after a jaw and facial surgery due to limited mobility in her articulation apparatus. However, with the timely initiation of a speech therapy course, her situation began to improve. Under the guidance of a speech therapist, Anna gradually developed new abilities in her speech apparatus. Step by step, Anna's speech activity increased, and finally, she pronounced the word "mama" clearly for the first time. Fifteen-year-old Margarita, a resident of an orphanage in the Irkutsk region who underwent a neurosurgical operation, is undergoing comprehensive work to restore her cognitive functions. A speech therapist is using special exercises, and there are already noticeable improvements: Margarita is better able to follow instructions, maintains her attention for longer periods, and engages more actively in conversations. The improvement in cognitive skills is accompanied by an increase in confidence, as Margarita is more willing to engage in interactions, show interest in activities, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
