Last winter, the life of two-year-old Vika was split into 'before' and 'after': the police found her with her little brother and sister in a cold, empty apartment, where they had spent more than two days completely alone. The parents were deprived of their rights, and at the orphanage it was discovered that Vika had a congenital orthopedic condition.
Specialists from the Fond developed a support plan for Vika and organized a complex surgery. And after that, the most important thing began—a miracle of recovery.
During her time under the care of the Fond, the girl changed incredibly: she opened up to the world, learned to trust people, and turned into a curious, cheerful little girl who loves music and happily points out familiar animals in picture books.
All this became possible because Vika had a nanny provided by the Fond.
A nanny is not just a specialist who monitors the child's condition and gives medicine on schedule; she also becomes a best friend, a reliable support, someone who makes things less scary, who will comfort and encourage. Without the sense of security that our nannies give the children, true recovery is simply impossible.
