Matvey went through his long-awaited rehabilitation

Matvei is 18 years old, he grew up to be a bright, athletic kid. He went to school, studied with pleasure, was engaged in sports (he had a gold badge for passing the norms of the TRP in the 11th grade), he was always surrounded by friends. He took part in all school sports events. He played in the children's and youth football team Dinamo. Recently Matvei had his school-leaving party and graduation ceremony. Handsome, young, goal-oriented, kind, open-minded, with big plans for life! With a dream of becoming an officer. Having studied for several years in a cadet corps, he decided to go to the military academy, where he successfully enrolled last June. But an unfortunate accident in an instant had the sporty and active young man confined to a hospital bed. On 16 July, Matvei dived into a river and hit his head on a river rock. As a result, he broke the seventh cervical vertebra. Fracture of this area is the most dangerous because there are nerve endings and blood vessels that feed the brain and spinal cord through the cervical area. The hospital did everything possible to save Matvei's life. A titanium implant was implanted here in Kostroma. Now Matvei's life is no longer in danger, but the entire lower part of his body is completely paralyzed. In order to return to a full life as much as possible and learn to sit, stand and deal with everyday tasks again, Matvei needs an intensive rehabilitation programme. Professional help is very expensive for an ordinary family from a small town. A single course at the Tri Sestry Rehabilitation Centre costs about 870,000 RUB per month. In order to be able to begin the treatment from the 1st October onward, we shared and placed the fundraising on several charity platforms: on the Geografiya Dobra charity foundation's website, on Dobro.Mail.Ru fundraising platform, and on Tooba. We really hope that people on Tooba and other platforms will donate to raise the funds Matvei need as soon as possible.  Together we can do it! Matvei does not know how to stand idle... This is proved by his gold TRP badge, certificates and diplomas from competitions and strong character. He will definitely do everything in his power to regain a healthy and full life.
