Kolya is five years old, and he is one of the most active kids at the Sotsialnyy tsentr of the foundation: he runs around the playground with other children and takes part in all the active games. But it wasn't always like this—when Kolya was one year old, he weighed only 6 kilograms. The consequences of premature birth and a genetic syndrome had undermined his health.
All the years that Kolya has been under the foundation's care, his nanny has been by his side. She not only learned all the intricacies of care—maintaining strict hygiene, feeding him special nutrition, fighting for every gram gained—but also became the most important and closest adult to Kolya, someone who cares for him and believes that everything will work out!
"Not long ago, he couldn't walk and was very weak," Kolya's nanny shares. "And now I can barely keep up with him on the playground. Every day is a new victory! His eyes shine with happiness when something works out, and I rejoice with him."
