Let's help doctors get to Surgut so that children have a chance even before birth

Last year, a girl's mother in one of the regions was diagnosed with spina bifida during pregnancy. The girl was quickly referred to Moscow, where doctors performed intrauterine surgery. Today, the baby is living without the severe complications that often accompany this diagnosis. This was made possible thanks to training for regional specialists. To ensure that such cases become the rule rather than the rare exception, a team of experienced Moscow specialists travels to remote regions and conducts in-person courses for doctors at perinatal centers. At these seminars, they teach how to accurately diagnose congenital malformations in the early stages of pregnancy and how to properly manage patient care. Surgut is currently looking for such doctors. The fate of future children depends on this knowledge – whether they will receive timely care, a chance for surgery, and a full life.
