After auditory‑verbal rehabilitation, Varya started talking

Thanks to your support, Varya was able to join a two‑week course with specialists. The classes helped her correct her speech errors and start communicating freely.

Varya hears with the help of hearing aids; they compensate for a 3rd‑degree hearing loss. To expand her vocabulary and develop clear and correct speech, she needs regular practice. However, there are no specialists in their settlement, so she has to practice on her own. This is not enough for her to succeed in a regular school.

“Thank you to everyone who made this memorable trip possible,” says Varya’s mother, Yulia. “Varya has made progress — she’s developed a desire to engage in dialogue, she’s stopped being afraid of the teachers, and she’s started to participate in discussions with them.”

The mother also noticed that her daughter has become quite talkative. She’s always telling stories, trying to express her emotions. Varya has become interested in rhymes. After one of the classes, she started constantly coming up with rhyming words for everything she reads on advertising signs. A pleasant discovery was the improvement in her arithmetic skills. The teachers helped Varya master the Pythagorean theorem and long multiplication.
