Vadim is 14 years old, an active and goal-oriented young man. He played hockey from an early age, competing in competitions and winning cups and medals. He dreamed of becoming a professional hockey player. But his dreams of a future were put on hold when Vadim was diagnosed with cancer.
Last July, the young man developed pain. Doctors were unable to provide a definitive diagnosis for a long time, conducting various tests. When the pain intensified, they ordered an urgent MRI, which revealed a tumor.
His local doctors decided to refer Vadim for treatment at the Blokhin National Medical Research Center, where he is undergoing chemotherapy. He has now completed eight cycles, and treatment is ongoing.
Vadim requires expensive genetic testing to determine further treatment and precisely target the tumor.
