Aylana underwent a course of hearing and speech rehabilitation

Foundation Moscow

Friends, thanks to your support, the girl intensively studied various speech and auditory skills. After rehabilitation, Aylan speaks and communicates better. 5-year-old Ailana has been deaf since birth. She lived in complete silence for up to two years until cochlear implants were installed. These devices bring the child back to the world of sounds, but the implant itself is only the first step towards hearing and speech, because you also need to teach the brain how to use it. In order for the girl to learn to distinguish sounds and respond to questions with her voice, rather than with gestures, a course of auditory speech classes was necessary. And such an intensive course was held for Ailana in a specialized center. "The rehabilitation went well. My daughter enjoyed going to classes, and the work on hearing and speech was comprehensive. The specialists worked on the development of communication skills, auditory attention and memory. Part of the lessons was devoted to developing the mobility of the articulatory apparatus. As a result, new words, sounds, and active speaking appeared in speech. But all the successes of my daughter's speech development would not have taken place without the support of tubers. I was shocked that our gathering was closed so quickly. I sincerely thank everyone for their concern," says Layxiang, the girl's mother. Aylana continues her speech development lessons at home with her mother every day and attends classes with a speech therapist and a sign language teacher to consolidate her acquired skills and further develop her speech. Thank you for supporting the Sahbiev family!

Ailana needs hearing and speech rehabilitation to speak

Five–year-old Ailana was born practically deaf - grade 4 hearing loss on both sides. Hearing aids, which were put on her at an early age, did not give results. She lived in complete silence for up to two years, until a cochlear implant was installed on her left. After that, Ailana heard her mother's voice for the first time, and began responding to her name. A year later, they had surgery on his right ear, and the child developed onomatopoeia. Now Aylana runs ahead of her mother to the front door, barely hearing the tinkle of the bell, she reacts instantly to any sound at home, indicating with signs that she hears. She understands everything that is said to her well, but in response she can only say "yes", "no", "not yet", "for now" and about a dozen other individual words. No matter how hard Aylana studies with specialists in her city, new words enter her active and even passive vocabulary extremely slowly. We need auditory-speech rehabilitation in a specialized center where they work with children after cochlear implantation. Let's help Ailana!
