Our furry friends now have protection against viruses!

Up to 300 cats and dogs live at the 'Pitomets' rehabilitation center at any given time, and most of them arrive there as emergency cases. Life on the streets leaves the animals with almost no healthy immune system: hunger, cold, and a lack of vaccinations leave them defenseless against viruses. That’s why viral infections are one of the most common problems the center’s veterinarians face.

An antiviral medication helps combat these infections. It supports the body when it is particularly weakened and suppresses the viral load, preventing the disease from developing to its full extent. Delay is costly here: without treatment, viral diseases progress rapidly and lead to complications that then take months to treat.

Thanks to your donations, the center was able to purchase the medication. This means that sick animals receive treatment within the first few days, tolerate the illness more easily, and recover more quickly. And they have a chance at a home and a family. Thank you for supporting our furry friends!
